Generational Thinkers (GT) is a registered Liberian based NGO with focuses on empowering women and youths of Liberia. The organization prioritizes four key focus areas to achieve its aim:

1. Youth empowerment

2. Leadership development

3. Education

4. Gender equity

5. Health promotion

GT has been registered and recognized as a non-profit organization by the competent authorities under the Liberian law, a non-profit organization requires annual recognition from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) and the Liberian Business Registry (LRBT) since 2019 till date. Our current registration is valid until July 26 2024.

GT was established in 2016 but obtained its registration in 2019 under the Liberian government. Over the years, GT have collaborated with other local NGOs to implement a diverse list of activities relating to our focus areas: advocacy for gender policy formulation, research, capacity building, coalition building, mobilization and sensitization aimed at enhancing the capacity of young girls and women in Liberia to champion the women’s cause and gender equality as well as providing clean and safe drinking water to underserved communities.

 

As a startup organization, our team have managed projects in Liberia totaling USD12, 000 received from partners to implement various projects in   Montserrado, Margibi and Bong Counties. Some of these projects include:

• An integrity Idol Project in Bong and Gbarpolu Counties for Accountability Lab Liberia.

• An annual summit titled: “Girls Speak Out” Summit since 2020-Present with support from Plan International, ActionAid Liberia and KEEP. The total support in funds received from partners is in the tone of USD12, 000.
